2012 Year in Review

This time last year we had a big, wide-eyed feeling that 2012 was going to be an epic year for us. It was.

In January we rang in the new year in Kona, Hawaii.

We celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary in February and took a quick trip to NYC.

In March my mom and I spent a week house hunting. Which ended with Mark and I putting an offer in on a short sale "cosmetic fixer" in April. I also ran my first half marathon in April.

We flew over 10,000 miles to Australia in May and in June we finally started the official escrow process on our house.

In July we went without power for seven days and then headed over to Williamsburg and Virginia Beach. And we packed up all of our stuff. And closed escrow on our house. And drove 2700 miles to our new home.

In August we moved into our new home and started the process of fixing it up.

Kristen went to camp for grown ups in September and we drove up to Seattle in October.

November brought us down to San Diego for Thanksgiving and marked the official start of our kitchen renovation. Oh and Kristen started a new job.

Finally, in December, we successfully hosted Christmas and for the first time ever, did NOT travel for a major holiday!

Needless to say, I think 2013 might be a quieter year for us. We'll see!

Happy New Year everyone. We hope your 2013 is filled with adventure and joy!
